Description:
Our client, a large engineering company, currently enjoying an increase in business requires an additional project accountant to manage a number of £multi-million projects.
Reporting initially to the Financial Controller the duties include:
·gaining a full understanding of the projects and the complexities of the business
·ensure all aspects of the business are treated according to the correct accounting principles, especially the contract accounting
·attend new contract and pricing discussions - both internally and externally
·maximise working capital with astute cash flow management
·monthly and quarterly forecasting and annual budgets
This is a highly responsible role, pivotal to the success of these projects, which has extensive exposure to both financial and non financial managers.
Ideal candidates will have extensive experience within a project environment ideally from manufacturing, construction or engineering. Applications from qualified accountants or individuals who are QBE would also be welcomed. In addition strong communication skills are advantageous.
